Hamilton Gardens
Join the other 600,000 visitors each year and discover what makes the Hamilton Gardens so popular.
Covering an area of 58 hectares at the southern end of Hamilton City, the gardens are a public park owned and managed by the Hamilton City Council.
The Gardens are home to around 2,000 events each year and feature a series of five specific collections including:
- The Paradise Garden Collection which featuring gardens represents some of the most significant garden design traditions.
- The Productive Garden Collection which represents different aspects of the relationship between people and plants.
- The Fantasy Garden Collection which represents different forms of garden fantasy.
- The Cultivar Garden Collection which features the story of plants selected and bred for the garden.
- The Landscape Garden Collection with areas which represent the different historic interpretations of an idealised landscape.
Admission to all areas of Hamilton Gardens is free; however guided tours can be arranged through the Hamilton Gardens Information Centre for $5.00 per person, with group and School discounts available by prior arrangement.
