Using the Carpark
There is no need to book, you simply turn up on the day of your departure. The one carpark services both domestic and international passengers.
The entry barrier issues a ticket upon entry to the carpark, and when you return from your trip you take this ticket to a pay station.
There are two paystations, two located in the centre of the carpark, one immediately outside the terminal. Paystations take credit cards, notes and coins and do give change.
Credit Card Parking Facilities
HIA's public car park is credit card enabled so that you can utilize your credit card like a parking ticket.
Process:
On arrival at the car park entry barrier do not take a parking ticket, instead place your credit card into the barrier arm machine which will log your entry time and then once you have removed your card proceed to find a park.
When you are ready to exit the car park simply place your credit card directly in the exit barrier arm slot - not in the pay station machines. The exit barrier machine will read your credit card and debit the amount due. To be issued a receipt push the appropriate button on the barrier arm machine and remove your card.
