Terms and conditions of the $28 incl GST parking offer for HIA international passengers
- The flat $28 parking offer is only available to international passengers flying directly from Hamilton International Airport to Brisbane with Virgin Australia, Cathay Pacific or Air NZ and returning to Hamilton International Airport.
- The $28 parking card must be purchased before departure from Hamilton International Airport.
- The $28 parking ticket is valid for 12 months after it has been issued. Therefore you must exit the airport car park within that timeframe to be eligible for the $28 parking rate. The 'valid until' date is printed on the bottom of the $28 parking ticket. If you have any queries about this date please ask a HIA Paper Plus staff member for assistance when purchasing the ticket.
- The cost of the flat $28 parking card is $28 including GST.
- The flat $28 parking offer can only be purchased at the Hamilton International Airport Paper Plus store, which is located on the ground floor of the airport terminal.
- The $28 parking card cannot be purchased on arrival back at the airport.
- To purchase the promotional offer you must present the following to the Paper Plus staff:
- Your Hamilton International Airport international boarding pass (for those passengers flying to Auckland Airport to catch an international flight, the Auckland international boarding pass will not be accepted); and
- The parking entry ticket you obtained when you drove into the carpark (this must be swapped with the flat $28 parking card).
- On arriving back at the airport you simply need to place the $28 card into the carpark exit barrier arm as you drive out (you do not need to put it in the pay machine first).
- Standard parking conditions, as set out on the board at the entrance of the public carpark, also apply.
Frequently asked questions and answers
Q. If I arrive back from Australia in five months time will the card still work?
A. Yes. The $28 incl GST parking card is valid for travel any time as long as you return and exit the carpark before the 12 month validity period has ended. The 'valid until' date is printed on the bottom of the $28 parking ticket. If you have any queries about this date please ask a HIA Paper Plus staff member for assistance when purchasing the ticket.
Q. I have entered the carpark using my credit card and I would like to purchase a $28 parking card?
A. You can't purchase the $28 parking card if you entered the carpark using your credit card. You will need to exit the carpark and drive back-in obtaining a standard parking card. Otherwise, the system will record your credit card as still staying in the carpark on your credit card.
Q. What happens if I lose my $28 parking card?
A. It is the same as if you lose your ‘normal' parking ticket. You will need to purchase a lost carpark ticket - this will cost $95.
Q. Can I give this ticket to a friend who has been parking here?
A. No. You will need the parking card to be able to exit the carpark otherwise you will have to pay the $95 incl GST lost ticket amount.
Q. I have lost my parking ticket that I got when I entered the carpark can I still purchase a $28 parking card?
A. No, you will not be able to purchase the $28 parking card. You will have to purchase a $95 lost ticket card to exit the carpark.
Q. Can I have my ‘original' parking ticket back?
A. No, we are exchanging the parking ticket for the $28 parking card.
