Arrival at the airport - before you enter the terminal building
We use licence plate recognition (LPR) technology in our car park to ensure an easy and relaxing parking experience for our customers.
- Arrivals: when you arrive at the airport our system will automatically read your licence plate and the barrier arm will open. You won’t receive a ticket. Remember your licence plate number as you’ll need it later.
- Departures: after you’ve collected your bags, please pay at the Pay Station outside the terminal. Enter your licence plate number and follow the onscreen instructions. Then head to the exit barrier, which will automatically open to allow exit.
If you booked online, you can drive straight to the exit barrier without visiting the pay stations – our system will match your licence plate number with your booking and the exit barrier will open.

Mobility parking
Mobility car parks are available for vehicles with a valid Mobility Parking Permit. These parks are close to the terminal building and located in the single level open (no cover) car park (A). The path to the terminal is wheelchair friendly. Standard parking charges apply.
Taxi and transport services
Taxi and transport services run from directly outside the airport terminal and should be booked in advance. Upon booking, please mention any special assistance you require. Hamilton Taxis (0800 477 477) have two mobility vans available - each capable of carrying two wheelchairs. Visit our transport page.
Inside the terminal building
Terminal entry and exit doors
Our glass entry and exit doors are automatic and wide enough to accommodate wheelchair access.
Wheelchair use
Please contact your airline directly if you require a wheelchair while at Hamilton Airport.
Lifts
There are lifts providing access to the ground and mezzanine floors. See terminal maps for location.
Toilets
There are wheelchair accessible toilets on the ground floor and in the international terminal. See terminal maps for location.
Check-in and processing
Check-in for international departures is located on the ground floor. Processing is located on the mezzanine level - there is a lift available. See terminal map for locations of check-in, lift and processing. There is seating and room for wheelchairs in the processing area.
Food and beverage
Propeller Airport Cafe is located on the mezzanine floor, before processing. After you have been through processing, there is another cafe: Jet Fuel Cafe. We have a coffee cart on the ground floor as well.Vending machines - are available for snack-type foods and beverages on the ground floor and in the international terminal.
Water fountains - are located at Propeller Airport Cafe, located before you head through the security processing area.
Specific assistance
The comfort and safety of all passengers is paramount. Please contact your airline prior to booking if you require specific assistance. Passengers who are vision-impaired and require assistance with flight information should tell our friendly airline staff.
